1. Air
pump performance parameters

Average Flow

The gas flow rate is measured by a soap film flowmeter. The volume of air transmitted per unit time is measured under normal temperature and pressure in the unit of L/min, which characterizes the gas transmission rate of the air pump; taking into account the pressure loss caused by pipes, valves and other components in the gas circuit, a sufficient margin is required when selecting a model.

Peak Flow

The air flow rate is measured by a rotameter indirectly through the principle of air flow velocity-pressure difference at normal temperature and pressure, in L/min, and it approximates the gas transmission rate of the air pump; considering the pressure loss caused by the pneumatic components, a sufficient margin is required when selecting a model.

Relative Vacuum
Also known as negative pressure, it represents the vacuuming ability of the air pump. The greater the absolute value of the relative vacuum, the stronger vacuuming ability it has. The C series, D series, and S series miniature pumps can all be vacuumed.
Inflation Pressure
Also known as positive pressure, it represents the ability of the air pump to compress air. The higher the air pressure, the higher the compressed air pressure that the positive pressure air pump can produce. If you need to make positive pressure, you need to choose D series products.
Working Point

The positive or negative pressure point of the air pump working in the air system. When working at room temperature and pressure, the flow delivered by the air pump is equal to the nominal average flow. When working at the maximum positive pressure and negative pressure point (the inlet or outlet is completely blocked), the transmission flow of the air pump is equal to 0, and the pressure and the flow have an approximate linear relationship. The flow value of each working point can be determined through the  "pressure-flow curve" of the product.

2. Liquid pump performance parameters

Liquid Flow

The volume of pure water a liquid pump transmits in unit time when the pumping height is approximately 0,which represents the transmission rate of the liquid pump.

Average Pumping Flow

When the liquid pump is used to pump gaseous media, a soap film flowmeter is used to measure the gas flow rate, and the air volume transmitted per unit time is measured under normal temperature and pressure. The unit is L/min, which represents gas transmission rate of the liquid pump.

Suction height

It refers to the self-priming height of the miniature vacuum liquid pump by creating a vacuum without "water diversion", characterizing the liquid pump's ability to absorb liquid, and the height range where the liquid pump is allowed to be installed above the liquid level.

Pressure height

It refers to the maximum height at which the micro-vacuum liquid pump can discharge liquid upwards, which characterizes the ability of the liquid pump to discharge liquid, and the height range of the liquid pump outlet that is allowed to be installed higher than the pump installation position

3. Starting performance

Maximum starting positive pressure

It refers to the maximum pressure value allowed at the outlet of the D series dual-purpose vacuum pump and compressors when the pump is started; most of our D series dual-purpose air pumps can be started at the nominal maximum pressure; the maximum starting positive pressure of some special models is less than maximum working pressure; C series vacuum pumps cannot work in the positive pressure range, the value is 0.

>>D micro vacuum pump and compressors model selection guide

Maximum starting negative pressure

It refers to the the maximum negative pressure value allowed at the inlet of the C series and D series miniature pumps when the pump is started; most of our C series miniature vacuum pumps and all D series can start under the nominal maximum negative pressure (i.e. relative vacuum), the maximum starting negative pressure of certain special models is less than the maximum relative vacuum;

4. Starting voltage and current

Starting Voltage

The starting voltage of most pumps is the nominal rated working voltage, and the starting voltage of some wide-voltage products is the nominal minimum working voltage.

Starting Current

It refers to the instantaneous maximum current value measured from the motor is powered on from a stopped state to a normal working status when the micro pump is under no-load. The current value is generally 5-10 times the rated current. For detailed values, please refer to the chapter of "Starting current curve"in the User Guide.

>>How to choose a suitable DC power supply for the micro pump

Starting current shock time

Under no-load conditions, the duration of the motor from being powered on at a stopped state to returning to normal. This time is generally less than 200ms. For detailed values, please refer to the chapter of "Starting current curve"in the User Guide.

5. Lifetime

Nominal lifetime

e provide customers multiple options of nominal applicable lifetime for our products. The lifetime is determined by our company through "continuous working lifetime test under maximum load". The nominal life of the premium version is above 9500-10000 hours, the standard version over 5000-6000 hours and the simplified version has a lifetime more than 1500-2500 hours, which varies with the model. Please check the Model Selection Guide.

Lifetime testing conditions

In a clean and non-corrosive laboratory, the pump is fully loaded (for C series products, completely block the inlet; for D series products, completely block the outlet; for S series, pump continuously), running continuously around the clock. If the actual operating conditions are better than the above conditions, the actual service life of the product will be longer than the nominal life.
